inform you about the information that could be collected online as a result of visiting the website. Your rights to
privacy are of utmost importance to the Institute in building trust and confidence when conducting business through the
Internet.
Refund / Cancellation Policy
1. Students are only authorized to deposit their fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and UPI (Unified
Payments Interface) facility.
2. Once the fee is successfully paid through the aforementioned modes, it cannot be refunded online.
3. If a student mistakenly deposits the fee twice in one transaction and requests a refund of the additional/excess fee,
they must submit a request letter to the accounts branch with the transaction details/online receipt number.
4. Refund will only be permitted in cases where the candidate has paid the fee more than once due to transaction
Note: We, as a merchant, shall be under no liability whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or
indirectly from the decline of authorization for any transaction, on account of the Cardholder having exceeded the
present limit mutually agreed by us with our acquiring bank from time to time.
Refund Policy
I. GENERAL
1. Short Title, Application, and Commencement:
1.1 The following rules shall be known as the Institute (Refund of Tuition & Other Fee) Rules, 2006.
1.2 They shall apply to all national and international students at the Institute campus in its entirety.
1.3 They shall come into force on 1st May 2007.
1.4 These Rules can be amended, augmented, clarified, interpreted, added to, deleted from, and changed by the Institute
Administration. Any such change shall be communicated to the stakeholders electronically and also displayed on the
official notice board.
1.5 Applications for the refund of tuition fee, food, and accommodation fee received before the closure of admission for
the concerned program will be accepted. No application for refund will be accepted thereafter under any circumstances.
1.6 Requests for cancellation of admission and refund of fees may be considered as per the following norms:
2. Refund of Food Facility Fee:
(a) Application for refund before the commencement of classes but not after the closure of admission for the concerned
program: If an applicant withdraws before the commencement of classes but not after the closure of admission for the
concerned program and if the seat consequently falling vacant is filled by a waitlisted candidate (if any), the Food
Facility Fee already deposited by the applicant shall be refunded after deduction of a processing fee of Rs. 1,000/-
(One thousand only).
(b) Application for refund after the commencement of classes but not after the closure of admission for the concerned
program: If an applicant withdraws after the commencement of classes but not after the closure of admission for the
concerned program and if the seat consequently falling vacant is filled by a waitlisted candidate (if any), the Food
Facility Fee already deposited by the applicant shall be refunded after deduction of a processing fee of Rs. 1,000/-
(One thousand only) and the proportionate monthly Food Facility fee.
Note: If an applicant has paid less than the amount to be deducted from the Food Facility fee, then the deduction amount
may be adjusted from the fee paid for tuition fee/hostel accommodation/laundry/security or other related deposits, if
applicable.
3. If a student was earlier admitted to a program but later transferred to another program with a lesser Tuition Fee,
then for the calculation of monthly proportionate deduction for the purpose of refund of Tuition Fee, the fee of the
program in which the applicant was originally admitted (before program transfer) will be considered
4. Non-Refundable Fees/Cases:
(a) Amounts paid for obtaining Prospectus, Application fee, Processing fee, Entrance fee, late fee, Program Transfer fee
etc. are non-refundable under all circumstances, unless specifically prescribed as refundable.
(b) In case a student leaves after the last date of admission or withdraws/leaves in midstream, in such cases, that
student shall have no claim for a refund of fee and other charges already paid or otherwise, whatsoever against the
Institute.
(c) In case a student leaves after the last date of admission or withdraws/leaves in midstream, any university
scholarship/concession will be adjusted against the security money.
(d) If a candidate has unknowingly or willfully concealed or suppressed any information or fact, or has been found
impersonating or using fraudulent means to gain admission to the Institute or obtain scholarships, which renders them
ineligible for admission and/or scholarship, the admission of such an applicant shall be cancelled. Such a candidate
shall have no claim for a refund of fee and other charges already paid or otherwise, whatsoever against the Institute
and may be subject to disciplinary actions as per Institute policies and applicable laws.
5. Procedure of Refund:
(a) For a refund, the applicant needs to apply to the Institute on the prescribed form available in the Registrar’s
Office/Admission Office at the Institute Campus.
(b) Only the original form duly filled and signed by the student and parent/guardian received in person or by post by
the last date of admission will be accepted.
(c) Applications sent via email or any other mode will not be accepted and cannot be used as a reference for a refund
claim.
(d) Postal delays will not be the liability of the Institute, and the date on which the application by post is received
by the Institute will be considered for a refund.
(e) Refund will be made only after the applicant has surrendered the Original fee Receipt, ID Card (if already issued),
letter from the Institute for processing Loan, and any other document as required by the Institute at the time of
refund.
(f) Refund, if any, will be made through an account payee cheque only in favour of the concerned student or
parent/guardian as opted and written by the student while filling the ‘Application Form for Refund’. Once the
application for refund has been submitted, any request to change the name of the payee (student/parent/guardian) or for
reissuance of the cheque due to postal delay or otherwise, an additional processing fee of Rs. 500/- will be charged.
(g) Any amount refunded will be in Indian currency only. For International Applicants, the refund against applications
received as per prescribed guidelines will also be in Indian currency and as per the actual conversion rate of the US
Dollar (on the date of the student withdrawal application).
(h) If the applicant has obtained any letter or document from the Institute for processing the loan, the refund will be
made through an account payee cheque in favour of the sanctioning bank, unless the applicant submits a NOC from the bank
to receive the refund in their own/parent/guardian's favour.
(i) All applications for refund of tuition fee/hostel accommodation fee/food facility fee etc. will be processed within
a minimum of 8-10 weeks from the date of receiving the refund application.
6. No interest is payable on any amount deposited with the Institute, including refundable amounts, if any.
7. An applicant claiming a refund of tuition fee and/or hostel accommodation fee and/or food facility fee (as
applicable) before the commencement of classes shall not join the program and/or avail hostel accommodation and/or food
facility (as applicable).
